Classes

We believe in being self sufficient, to re-purpose items instead of purchasing new and to do it artfully. We want to share those skills with children (and their grown ups) and the money raised through classes will help support the rescued animals here at our homestead.

No stereo types here. Girls we want you to learn to use tools and boys we want you to learn to sew. You CAN do anything!

Kids Med
Kids are never too young to learn what to do in an emergency. They are completely capable if they are given the tools and the knowledge to act. Kids of any age (and grown ups too) are welcome to attend. The class will include practical exercises and mock simulations.

Topics to be covered:
CPR
wounds
bandaging
swelling
head injury
anaphalaxis
asthma
diabetes
heat/cold injuries
calling 911

Hand Tools/Woodworking
Girls and boys should grow up knowing how to use tools to be self sufficient. Moms and dads should know how to use tools to be able to make simple repairs and building projects on their own to save money. This is a  beginners class to learn how to use basic hand tools and build a small project.
