James "Murph" Murphy
Murph is the Major for a county sheriffs department and has been a call firefighter/EMT on the Cape since 1996. He is also a member of the MA Urban Search and Rescue team responding to the Atlanta Olympics and the World Trade Center as a rescue specialist. In the winter he can be found ski patrolling on Black Mt in Jackson, NH.  Murph is a certified CPR and first responder instructor. Murph has lived here on the Cape for most of his life and has traveled, camped, hiked, paddled and adventured all over the country.


Michelle Murphy
Michelle is a full time firefighter/EMT-C in Pawtucket RI (the first and only female in the cities history). A wilderness EMT, a wildland firefighter/EMT, teaches wilderness medicine courses, Urban Search and Rescue member also responding to the Atlanta Olympics, the World Trade Center and Huricaine Katrina as a K9 search specialist, search team manager and rescue specialist. Michelle has been searching for lost persons in the woods and urban settings with her rescued dogs since 1988. Michelle has had a dog training business since 1986 training families and their pets and service dogs for the differently abled children and adults. In the winter she ski patrols on Black MT alongside her search dogs. Michelle has been on the Cape since 2006 and has traveled, hiked, camped, paddled, biked, rode horses and adventured all over the country
