May Gardening Class

Next Gardening Session
May 16 @ 9:30

I hope everyone's gardens have gotten started! If not, it isn't too late. Session 2 is next week. We will gather in the garden again and discuss organic gardening techniques to grow your own food. Emphasis is on less work and more food! You don't need a big space or a lot of money to get going. If your garden is started you'll want to make sure you can keep it going and producing throughout the season.

As always, you are welcome to bring your children.

This session I would like to hold a plant swap at the end of the class. Bring your extra veggie and flower plants that you would like to trade for something else.

I have scheduled more classes throughout the season. You are welcome to attend all of them but it is not required.

Class 3  Thursday, July 18 9:30 and 5:30

Checkout the sewing kids!

The sewing class last week was so much fun. Four girls gathered around the table to make bunnies and pillows. They used recycled sweaters for their creations. When they returned home I heard more bunnies were made and more sweaters were collected for an enterprising young lady that plans to sell pillows!

Kids Med.....for the boys!

This weeks Kids Med was all boys! My little cowgirl held her own, they were an amazing bunch of 3-11 year old learners. Three mom's rounded out the class, braved the chilly weather and learned right along side their little men.

One of the mom's is a photographer  and she captured these wonderful memories. If you missed the class please join me at my FaceBook page or follow this blog to get updates on new classes.

The first kids med

Today was the first class. I think it was a big success. I covered all the information I had planned, I finished right on time and most importantly, the kids had fun and learned some important stuff! There were 13 kids in all ranging in age from 4-14, 4 moms and 3 toddlers. I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked but there is definitely plans for another class. I also plan on a class for kids who have completed this one which will give them more scenario experience. Please check back for dates and enjoy the photos!

New paddlers

We had planned to organize some trips this summer...but my injury has prevented that from happening this year. We have , however, been able to go on some short paddles, with Murph providing most of the "paddle" in our boat. We have introduced canoeing and kayaking to some kids and families along the way.

Your never to old to learn to paddle, a whole new world of exploration opens up.

A great activity for families to enjoy together.

Kids exploring on there own...

loving a great life long activity.

We'll see you out there!
